World Winter Games

World Winter Games was held at Austria from 14th to 25th March 2017. 5 Female athlete Shivanjali , Usha, Najma , Pooja, Jasvender and 1 male Athlete Deepak Kumar, along with one Coach Ranjana Kumari from Bilaspur Chetna Sanstha, participate in this Event and Won 3 Gold Medal, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal.
· Send off ceremony for athletes, coaches & staff participating in world winter games Austria 2017 was organized at residence of Sh. Jagat Prakash Nadda Hon’ble Health & Family affairs Minister and Dr. Mallika Nadda Chairperson SOBHP at Delhi. Air Marshal Retd. Denzil Keelor CEO SOB, Mr. Lalit Sharma National Director Finance SOB, Mr. Victor Vaz National Sports Director SOB were also present. The delegation celebrated Holi festival with Hon’ble minister. Athletes also enjoyed snacks and dinner.
· Send Off by Dr. (Col. Retd.) Dhani Ram Shandil Minister for Social justice & Empowerment: - The Athletes and Coaches from 9 districts including Bilaspur (Chetna Sanstha) of Himachal Pradesh received a Send Off in their respective districts, following which a State Send Off was organized at the Peter Hoff, Shimla on 6 March 2017 by the department of Social Justice & Empowerment Department Himachal Pradesh in the gracious presence of the Dr. (Col. Retd.) Dhani Ram Shandil Hon’ble Minister for Social justice & Empowerment, Mr. Sandeep Bhatnagar Director SC, ST, OBC & Minority Affairs Himachal Pradesh, Mr. Parikshat Mehdudia Area Director Special Olympics along with more esteemed guests. Dr. Shandil gave a warm sendoff to the team and gave his best wishes to the team for a successful World Winter Games. He also gave cheque of Rs. 25000/- to each athlete for the preparation of World Games.
· Preparatory Camp of Alpine Skiing, Snow Boarding & Snow Shoeing was held at Atal Bihari Institute of Mountaineering & Allied Sports Solagnala, Manali from 2nd to 8th February 2017.​
